AGPN is a health promotion charity that works with general practitioners to improve disease prevention, early detection, and community health outcomes across Australia.
How long has AGPN been operating?
AGPN has been supporting general practice since the 1990s. AGPN became a charity in 2014 to continue it's general practice support and promote disease prevention projects.
Why does AGPN focus on general practice and primary health?
GPs and other primary health professionals are the first point of contact for most Australians. Promoting primary health helps keep communities healthy and reduces pressure on hospitals.
What is the Breast Screen Initiative (TBSI)?
TBSI raises awareness about breast cancer screening and breast density, helping women take action and follow up with their GP.
What is Whispering Hearts?
Whispering Hearts supports people living with Alzheimer’s and their carers by promoting access to helpful technologies and resources.
How does AGPN support rural and remote communities?
AGPN works with local clinics and partners to improve access to screening, vaccinations, and disease prevention programs in underserved areas.
How will my donation be used?
Donations support education, outreach, advocacy, and technology that improve health outcomes and strengthen general practice.
Are donations tax deductable?
Yes, all donations over $2 are tax deductable
Can I choose which initiative to support?
Yes! When you donate you will have the option to choose which program you would like to direct your donation. TBSI, Whispering Hearts, Respiratory Disease, Ovarian Cancer or GP Support
